I fell in love with Wisconsin as a child. Every summer my parents took their 7 kiddos out of Chicago on camping vacations nearly always somewhere in Wisconsin, the best two weeks of the year.
Circumstances made it necessary for me to raise my own children in Chicago’s suburbs, but Wisconsin held my heart and so we regularly took mini-vactions, day aways,” over the border.” One of our frequent destinations was Old World Wisconsin. I find it so much fun to know that you were employed there the summers we visited.
Now I’m retired, my children grown, and I’ve relocated to Wisconsin! Finding a series of mysteries that takes place in and around my new state has been sheer delight.
I’ve just finished rereading Old World Murder, taking each page slowly this time, seeing the scene so vividly through my memories of visits there.
I’m happy to know you plan to continue Chloe’s story. I look forward to continuing the adventure and even hope to visit some of the settings you’ve used that I’ve never seen. Thanks.
